Creare arte è come andare in bicicletta. Biografia My name is Michelle Hanson and I am a student at the University of California, Berkeley. Currently I am studying abroad in Rome to further my education in English Literature, the History of Art, and really anything that incorporates the Humanities. When it comes to art I appreciate a variety, if not all, genres, mediums, and techniques. But whether I can execute such a variety is a different matte... maybe! Il mio nome è Michelle Hanson sono una studentessa presso l’Università della California, a Berkeley. Attualmente sto studiando all'estero, a Roma per migliorare ulteriormente la mia formazione in Letteratura Inglese, Storia dell'Arte, e in realtà tutto ciò che incorpora le discipline umanistiche. Per quanto riguarda l’arte ho interesse ed apprezzo tutti i generi, con qualsiasi mezzo, e tecnica. Da qui stabilire se sono in grado di eseguire tutto ciò da me espresso, è una questione diversa… magari! ::: ::: ::: ::: ::: ::: ::: ::: ::: :::
Percorso Before joining the studio I took two general practice of art classes, one in high school and the other early in college. I still try to apply the mechanics I learned from these workshops into my photography, sketches, and designs whenever possible. However, Arte Bottega is the first place I've really encountered and experimented with acrylics. Through this very gradual process I am very fortunate that my two painting instructors, Giorgio and Franco, are very kind-hearted and especially patient men. Step by step, they have truly made the experience all the more enjoyable and i know that upon my return to the U.S. I will be quite the painter! Prima di intraprendere lo studio universitario ho avuto una esperienza generica di corsi d'arte, uno al liceo e poi in un altro “college”. Continuo a provare ad applicare i meccanismi che ho appreso da questi laboratori nella fotografia, schizzi e disegni quando ho la possibilità di farlo. A Roma nei laboratori di Arte Bottega mi è stato possibile fare esperienza con la pittura, sperimentando con i colori acrilici. Qui l’incontro con i miei maestri Giorgio e Franco: grazie alla loro paziente disponibilità e attraverso un processo molto graduale, passo dopo passo, riesco ad intravedere un risultato apprezzabile. Eventi * Exhibition at the "Osteria da Sandro" (link) (click) *Impressionist trend,* with the ability to travel with his imagination, describing places, with the intensity and the strength of the blends of colors and very personal, transferring to canvas the essence of the subject ... is one of five students from the University of California in Rome ... Since January 2012, have been involved in a Roman adventure at the laboratories of Artebottega. They did not have previous artistic experience, except for Alyssa who had taken a course in illustration. Their experience was based on the artistic skills taught in high school with the use of basic pedagogical materials: pencils, pens, and the rest. In our laboratory they had the opportunity to garner experience and learn pictorial techniques, in this case, with acrylic colors, and painting together with other artists in the laboratory. The works on exhibition are the testament of their profound engagement over the course of four months with weekly meetings (two hours twice a week), without taking anything away from their studies, which were the primary reason for their being in Rome. It was not easy for either of us because they did not speak Italian and we did not speak English but there arose among us a universal, and deeper language---that of art and of the heart. With deep affection, all of the "Friends of the Laboratory of Artebottega" extend a sincere thanks to these young people for the commitment and seriousness of purpose with which you all have undertaken this journey. Tendenza impressionista, con la capacità di viaggiare con la sua fantasia, descrivendo luoghi, con la intensità e la forza delle miscele e dei colori molto personali, trasferendo sulla tela l’essenza del soggetto... Michelle Hanson fa parte dei cinque studenti dell’Università della California in Roma... si sono avvicendati da Gennaio 2012 in questa avventura romana nei laboratori di Artebottega...Non avevano esperienza di pittura, esclusa Alyssa che aveva alle spalle un corso di illustratrice... la loro esperienza era basata su criteri artistici che si insegnano nei licei, con l’utilizzo di strumenti didattici di base: matite pennarelli e quant’altro... Nel laboratorio hanno avuto l’opportunità di fare esperienza e apprendere tecniche pittoriche in questo caso con i colori acrilici, e dipingendo insieme ad altri artisti presenti nel laboratorio... Questi lavori sono la testimonianza del loro impegno profuso in 4 mesi con frequenza settimanale (2 ore x 2 giorni), senza togliere spazio ai loro studi, scopo primario della loro presenza in Roma... Per noi non è stato facile perché loro non conoscevano la lingua italiana e noi tanto meno l’inglese... ma tra noi ha prevalso un linguaggio profondo, universale... quello dell’arte e quello del cuore. Con profondo affetto, un grazie a questi ragazzi da tutti gli “Amici del Laboratorio di Artebottega”, per l’impegno e la serietà con cui hanno affrontato questo percorso...
